WELCOME to the home of Lazer Cheer Academy!
Founded in Sept 2009 we are just about to finish Season 17 with 18 competitive cheer teams and 4 recreational classes based in Catterick, as well as 2 competitive teams and 1 recreational class based in Darlington. We offer Competitive classes for 4+years and recreational teams from just 18 months! There is no upper age limit for our teams - anyone can join us We provide Allstar cheerleading which includes stunts, pyramids, tumbles, jumps and dance! We compete Nationally and Internationally! We pride ourselves on working on progressions and athlete development using correct techniques and conditioning. We have produced cheerleading talent to compete Nationally and Internationally including ones that have gone on to compete at the Cheerleading World Championships in Orlando! Most recently we have had Lady Reign compete twice at IASF Worlds, Ice Queens compete at The Summit, Pink Princesses at NCA Nationals, both Ice Queens and Pink Princesses compete at All-Star Worlds and also 7 athletes compete with Team England at the ICU World Championships. During this season we are attending The European Summit with five teams before hopefully returning to the USA in 2027. So far we have multiple bids with different teams for All-Star Worlds, The US Summit and the European Summit for 2027. |
For further information about our program please read the handbook at the bottom of the about page. This provides information of what a standard season will look like - Do get in contact if you have any further questions!

Please click the image to the left to register your interest with Lazer Cheer Academy and we will be in touch shortly with details of our availability for Competitive and Recreational classes at either of our locations (Catterick or Darlington)
Please be aware that we have already placed our competitive teams for the 25/26 season. Places on our competition teams will be closed until tryouts beginning 29th June 2026 for current members and beginning 4th July 2026 for new members to our program.
Our recreational program will run all season (apart from school holidays) and places are constantly becoming available so you can enquire and book on to classes any time through the year. Recreational cheer is a great place to get some experience if you are wanting to join a competition team for next season. There may be the odd space on a competitive team through the season but these are very rare and will only be offered to athletes in the recreational program who want to move over to competitive or to someone who is already in the program as an additional crossover - these places will not be given to anyone brand new without experience.
International interest
If you are wanting to tryout for one of Lazer Cheer's international teams for the 26/27 season you can register your interest for this and book on to the tryout days for these once the international handbook has been released. Whilst you are waiting for this handbook, please register for season 18 with the blue button above. After the handbook has been released on Monday 29th June we will be in touch with all athletes with how to book on to international tryouts on the weekend of the 4th/5th July 2026.
